I just don't know what to call a book w/ no story, just page after page of sex. I have been reading Ms.Feehan's novels for years and this is the first time I've ever skipped 90% of one of her books. Please don't waste your money. I really hope this doesn't continue because her leopard series books were interesting. Now, they're not only boring, they are low quality and have no value. How can a reader be entertained when there is no story? Isn't that supposed to be one of an author's goals?

I am a pre-order type of girl with all of Ms. Feehan's books and many second and third timer too.
However this book and Viper from Ghost Walkers storyline are almost identical in feel and it's not a good feeling.
The action parts are great but so much time is spend on the male dominating, intimidating, frightening the female to deal with his issues. As I said with Viper and I had some "I agree", these two story lines just run the edge of verbal, physical and sexual abuse for me. I know these are hard men etc. But I don't find abuse entertaining, I found for the second time skipping pages (first in Viper story) skipping sections because I just got burned out reading about how the man's in charge, makes woman scared, then she likes it and man makes her believe it's for the best..
I enjoyed the beginning and loved the ending battle but could have done without the middle...
Ok now please don't mess with my lifemates like you have with ghost walkers and pretty bad kitty's and I'm hoping the storylines go back to the stories they started out as and that I enjoyed so much. Both these stories are no longer auto buy because I would rather stop reading the series than watch them die a painful death...
Still love the author, and I know their stories evolve but just as BDB has gone through big changes that is not working for a lot of readers, this detours isn't working for me.....
Hope I love what's coming next, think I'll try some Drake sisters.
I loved how this book started – the heroine’s back story was good and I liked Ridley Kramer. However I really didn’t like Eli. Yes, I get he is an alpha male, but I really struggled to see how he was different from Rafe. Lying scumbag? Check. Violent and hurts women? Check. Kills people? Check. Controlling and dominating? Check. No respect for females? Check. I kept waiting for Eli to redeem himself and turn back into Ridley but he never did. I actually sympathised more with Rafe who at least cared about her in his own twisted way. In the hospital Eli was all about me me me. So what could have developed into a half good plot never did. Basically big plot twist/transformation from Ridley to Eli, then the rest of the book is rough sex and angry man wanting his coffee made before she can have a shower. What a prince. No more plot. I really liked the last two books in this series – Drake’s and Remy’s and I also like Jake’s book which HAD A PLOT. But this book – what a waste of money! Not even sure it was written by Christine Feehan. No more pre-ordering for me – I will be reading the reviews (which were very helpful!) first before I waste my dough! I will never get that three hours back….
I have read all in the series, but will not read the next. In this one, sex was the only subject. Non stop, forget about story, it is just one sex scene after another. Nothing wrong with sex scenes in question book, but when it's the only thing a story has going for it, it's just porn.
So sad to see how far her books have fallen. I used to wait for her books to come out and I would devour them. Now, it's all about the sex. The story gets totally lost. I would not recommend this to anyone. I agree with other reviews - it's porn.
This book was a waste of money. The only good book so far out of this Leopard Series has been Savage Nature. The rest of the series has been nothing but porn. If you like D/s you will enjoy this book. The main characters are Cat Benoit (h) and Ridley Cromer/Eli Perez (H) who is a total jerk. I realize Christine Feehan writes books for a living and she writes what sells but these books have gotten bad. I (personally) do not enjoy reading D/s books. The h was a submissive, no backbone, she is completely dominated by H. Yes, in the book it is written on a few pages where the h states if she didn't want to do something she would tell him but then turns around and states she will do anything he wants.

I have no problem with sex, wild monkey sex placed strategically throughout the book but almost every freaking page, give me a break.

One other thing I didn't like, the H is always telling the h to talk to him, he will listen to her, they will work it out, it will always be his way but he will listen to her. Gee, really, thanks, don't try real hard to be understanding. Also hate when D H uses sex as a punishment (H refuses to let h climax) and then starts spanking (savagely, meant to hurt) the h all because the H could not explain a situation to the h. Stupid.

I hope future books (because I am only giving this series one more try) are extremely better and stop all this senseless sex.
